No Duppy in Our House is about a ghost, but this is not really your typical ghost story!

The story is centred around a short span of time in the life of a young Jamaican woman when a dear friend from her past comes to her asking for help.

The young woman happens to be my great-great grandmother, Emma, who I learned about after several years of family research. Using my knowledge of Jamaican history and folklore, I have created a heartwarming story set in rural Jamaica in the late 19th century.

 Writing this novel has brought me great joy. I hope I am able to spread this joy to my readers in my storytelling.
